And so.. the room.
We booked the Deluxe room.. if I am not wrong this is the cheapest room available.
"Cheap" comes at $400/night.
Only slight wow factor was upon entering the room, slot in the room key into the power supply and the curtains automatically draws to the side.. in a loud mechanic sound that almost make it seem like a grandeur curtain raising. :p
Bathroom is decent.. but NO bathtub!?
No nice toiletries unlike Regent (Loccitane) and others..
A nice working desk by the window.
Ok at least some decent teas like TWG and not "Lipton" or "Dilmah"
The "view" from the room.
Or is it even appropriate to call it a view? Well u pay peanuts you get monkeys.
So much for the cheapest room.
Hubby's little surprise for me!
Have always wanted to watch but for some reason of another I always missed it.
Sneaked a photo at the end! Yeah I know I am not supposed to..
it was sooo good I cannot resist not taking a photo to remember!
The performance was magical! With Tchaikovsky’s glorious music, exhilarating new choreography from
leading ice director Tony Mercer, performed by award winning Imperial Ice Stars, there were soo many times the crowd broke out in applause and I felt goosebumps!
SO beautiful I tink I want to watch it again :)
OK, a quick change into the swimgear and off to the infinity pool!
So crowded... so many kids were running around and splashing water and crossing everybody's path.
I don't feel any tinge of peace even when perched so high up.
It was extremely difficult to wait for the correct moment for a shot like this and we NG many many times cos there'll always be some kids splashing water around.
The Jacuzzi.. too small for comfort. Felt like a side pool of water for me to wash my leg.
And so.. the secret behind the infinity pool.
I had heard people who say they don't dare to walk til the end maybe cos they are afraid they'll topple over? Haha. Fret not! Beyond the "end" there are railings and railings to make sure u gotta be deliberately climbing over hurdles before you become deadmeat.
Watching the bustling Raffles Place area where I work.. from another perspective.
Nice place to see sunset :)
Outside MBS at night
Crowd waiting patiently for the nightly 13mins water+lights display "Wonder Full"
8PM, 9:30PM and 11PM
8PM, 9:30PM and 11PM
Some fire, some lights, some images and a corny message about saving water..
we thought it's really nothing much.
And then there is the mass release of a lot of bubbles!
Glistening in rainbow colours under the white laser lights... now this is at least worth some minutes.. looks almost romantic :)
The big whirlpool that we managed to see empty and water-less when MBS just opened.
I recalled alot of people were tossing coins into the "well" as if it is a wishing well! LOL
Our favorite art piece at OdeToArt. Particularly like the pieces in this art gallery.
Especially the fat boy series :)
Walking back the corridor leading to the rooms...
The reception which kinda like the walls of a kindergarten. Check in is slow, I was served by a new trainee from China. He struggled with speaking English and he had to check with his supervisor on almost every step. My check in took 25mins even when I had already prepaid it :(
Worth the money? Absolutely NOT!
I wouldn't pay to stay there again.. service is far from first class, room is nothing to shout about, there is virtually NO view from the room and $400 a night doesn't even give u a complimentary breakfast.
